Ms. Ageitos flight back to Spain on Feb. 13th.

Ms. Smithson had finished the study abroad program from Nov. and flight back to Spain. This is commemorative photo with laboratory's member. All the member wish him the best of luck.

End-of-year party on Dec. 22th.

We hold a end-of-year party and enjoyed talking about this year's events and next year's resolutions.

Laboratory opposition Ekiden Convention ＆ Oden party on Nov. 5th.

Annual ekiden convention. In this year, Elena (who is an international student) and
Mr. Orima (who is doctor class student at Horio laboratory) also run with us and
complete the full distance in safely. In the afternoon, we hold also annual Oden party.
Ekiden: A long-distance running relay race.
Oden: Japanese one-pot dish consisting of several ingredients stewed in broth.

Imoni party on Oct. 23th.

Imoni party is one of the tohoku section's autamn feature. We hold that at riverfront of Hirose-river. This day was windy but clear weather.

2016 Tohoku-Section Joint Convention of Institutes of Electrical and Information Engineers, Japan on Aug. 31th.

Mr. Katoh had a research presentation at 2017 Tohoku-Section Joint Convention of Institutes of Electrical and Information Engineers at Tohoku institute of technology, Japan.

"The Incentive Award in Tohoku Branch of The Institute of Electronics,Information Processing Society of Japan."!

Open Campus @ Tohoku University, Aobayama campus on Jul. 27th and 28th.

We run a booth at Open Campus at Tohoku University.

Coffee seminer on Jul. 22th.

We introduce a new coffee machine to our laboratory. So our instructor (?) lecture how to make GOOD regular coffee, cappuccino and so on.

Farewell party for Dr. Mochizuki on Jun 24th.

Dr. Mochizuki moved at Jul. So we hold farewell party. We gave him Red Bull (It is his great favorite!). We wish him all the best in this new chapter of your life!

ISMVL2016 on May 18-20th.

Dr. Suzuki and Mr. Sugaya had a research presentation at ISMVL2016 in Hokkaido Univ., Japan.
Dr. Onizawa received "Kenneth C. Smith Early Career Award for Microelectronics Research".

ULSI Workshop 2016 on May 17th.

Mr. Tabata had a poster presentation at ULSI Workshop2016 in Hokkaido Univ., Japan. And he received "Student Poster Award".

Cherry-blossom viewing party on Mar. 11th.

We made a welcome party for laboratory's new members "Mr. Suda and Mr. Nishino" along with Cherry-blossom viewing party. In this year, we could held outdoors that luckily.
